About Us
Chartwell Investment Partners, LLC, is a Berwyn, Pennsylvania based investment firm, founded in 1997, that is dedicated solely to the investment advisory business. The firm is a quality-based equity and fixed income manager with a disciplined, team-oriented investment process. Chartwell maintains a firm-wide commitment to fundamental research.
Chartwell is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TriState Capital Holdings, Inc., a registered bank holding company based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

John E. Andress
Partner, Client Services
Mr. Andress earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining Chartwell, he was a Vice President of Marketing and Client Service at Delaware Investment Advisers from 1995 to 2000. From 1985 to 1995, he was employed by the Luxottica Group as a Manager of Marketing and Client Service.
Edward N. Antoian, CPA, CFA, MBA Managing Partner
Mr. Antoian is a dual employee of Chartwell Investment Partners and Zeke Capital Advisors, LLC. He has been with Chartwell since its inception in 1997 and is currently a Managing Partner. He serves as Partner, Founder for Zeke Capital Advisors, LLC. Mr. Antoian earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. In addition, he is the General Partner of Zeke, LP, a privately offered long-short equity hedge fund. From 1984 to 1997, Mr. Antoian was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Delaware Investment Advisers, managing institutional assets in small and mid-cap growth styles as well as the Trend and DelCap Funds. Prior to joining Delaware, Mr. Antoian was employed by E.F. Hutton in the institutional equity division. Mr. Antoian is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Joseph A. Barilotti, Jr. Vice President, Client Services
Mr. Barilotti earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and in Human Resource Management from Cabrini College . From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Barilotti worked as a Marketing Assistant on the proposal process. Prior to joining Chartwell, he was employed at SEI Investments from 1997 to 1999 as a Mutual Fund Analyst.
Sidney D. Baker, CRPC Vice President, Southwest Regional Director
Mr. Baker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Baker worked as a Regional Advisor Consultant for Oppenheimer Funds from 2014- October 2016. From 2011 to September 2014, he worked as a Financial Advisor at Ameriprise Financial. Mr. Baker also worked as a Finance Analyst from 2009 to February 2011 at Fannie Mae. In addition, he holds a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor certification (CRPC).
Jeffrey D. Bilsky, MBA
Portfolio Analyst
Mr. Bilsky earned a Bachelor's degree in Diplomatic History from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Bilsky was employed at Cruiser Capital, a long-short hedge fund, where he served as a Portfolio Analyst. From 2008 to 2011, he was a Vice President in Institutional Sales and Trading at Hudson Securities. Prior to Hudson Securities, he spent two years at Bank of America Securities as an Analyst in Institutional Sales and Trading.
Allison E. Bohs
Quantitative Analyst
Ms. Bohs is a recent graduate from the Pennsylvania State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
Jonathan C. Caffey, CIPM Vice President, Finance & Operations
Mr. Caffey earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Real Estate from Temple University . Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Caffey worked for J.P. Morgan from 1996 to 1998 in their Asset Management Services Group. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Caffey was employed as a Mutual Fund Analyst for SEI Investments. Mr. Caffey is a member of the CIPM Association.
David Choi, CFA Senior Portfolio Analyst
Mr. Choi earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Prior to joining Chartwell in 1999, Mr. Choi worked for two years at Daewoo Securities in Seoul, Korea where he was an equity research analyst, entrusted with fundamental and quantitative analysis of South Korean equities. Mr. Choi is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Thomas R. Coughlin, CFA, CMT Portfolio Analyst
Mr. Coughlin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History from Swarthmore College. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician designations. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Coughlin was employed at Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC. He held multiple analyst positions at Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC. His most recent position was an Investment Analyst where he carried out the due diligence on their recommended list and maintained both the recommended mutual fund and money manager lists. Mr. Coughlin is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Trey L. Crenshaw, III Regional Director – South Atlantic
Mr. Crenshaw earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Citadel. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Crenshaw was a Director at Janus Capital Group from June 2011 to October 2016. From March 2006 to June 2011, he worked as a regional Vice President at ING Investment Management. Previous to that, Mr. Crenshaw worked as an Assistant Vice President and Regional Vice President at Wells Real Estate Funds from January 2002 to March 2006.
David C. Dalrymple, CFA, MBA Managing Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager
Mr. Dalrymple earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Clarkson University and an MBA from Cornell University's Johnson School. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. From 1991 to 1997, Mr. Dalrymple was a Portfolio Manager for Delaware Investment Advisers, managing a small-Cap value mutual fund, the Value Fund, and previously assisting in managing mutual funds and institutional assets in small and mid-Cap styles. Prior to 1991, Mr. Dalrymple was an assistant portfolio manager of the mid Cap value and small Cap growth products at Lord Abbett & Co. Mr. Dalrymple is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Thomas DiBari, CIMA
Northeast Regional Director
Mr. DiBari earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. DiBari was the Director of Northeast Sales at Geneva Advisors from 2012 to April of 2015. From 1999 to 2012, he was employed at Pacific Income Advisors as a Senior Vice President. From 1996 to 1999, he was employed as a Financial Advisor at PaineWebber. From 1994 to 1996, he was employed at Ibbotson Associates as an Account Executive and Consultant.
Stephen M. Elliker, MBA
Senior Portfolio Analyst
Mr. Elliker earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Philosophy from Millersville University and an MBA in Financial Management from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Elliker was a Research Analyst at Emerald Advisers from 2003 to 2008.
James W. Fox, MBA Portfolio Analyst
Mr. Fox earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from Loyola College of Maryland, and an MBA in Business Administration and Finance from Saint Joseph’s University. From 2007 to 2010, Mr. Fox was a financial consultant for RBC Wealth Management. He is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst level one candidate.
Mark S. Goodman, CFA Senior Portfolio Analyst
Mr. Goodman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Goodman was an Equity Research Analyst for Endowment Capital Group. From 2000 to 2003, he was employed by Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as a Technology Analyst for the Fixed Income Applied Research team. Mr. Goodman is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
G. Gregory Hagar, CPA (inactive) Managing Partner, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Hagar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Hagar was a National Accounting and Systems Advisor for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company from 1996 to 1997. He was also the Supervisor of Financial Services from 1992 to 1996 for Hemming Morse CPA's and Consultants. He earned the Certified Public Accountant designation in 1995, which is now inactive. Mr. Hagar began his career with Northwest Administrators.
Reid T. Halloran
Portfolio Analyst
Mr. Halloran earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Babson College. From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Halloran was in investment analyst for Aberdeen Asset Management in the North American Equities division. He is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst level one candidate.
T. Ryan Harkins, CFA, MBA Senior Portfolio Manager
Mr. Harkins earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Duke University and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Harkins was a Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst at Credit Suisse Asset Management where he co-managed the firm's small cap value strategy. From 1997 to 2000, he was an Investment Banker at Morgan Keegan & Company where he specialized in private placements for small public and private companies. Mr. Harkins is a member of the CFA Institute.
John A. Heffern, MBA Managing Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager
Mr. Heffern earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and an MBA in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. From 1997 to 2005, he was a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager with the Growth Investing Group at Delaware Investment Advisers. From 1994 to 1997, he was a Senior Vice President, Equity Research at NatWest Markets, responsible for specialty financial services equity research. Prior to NatWest, he was a Principal and Senior Regional Bank Analyst at Alex Brown & Sons.
John M. Hopkins, CFA Portfolio Manager/Senior Analyst
Mr. Hopkins earned Bachelor's degrees in both Finance and Economics, and a Minor in Spanish, from the Pennsylvania State University . He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. From May of 2004 to present, Mr. Hopkins worked for Collateral Processing Group, LLC where he was a Founder and Managing Principal. From 1999 to 2003 he worked for Sunrock Capital Corporation where he was Chief Financial Officer. From 1997 to 1999 he worked for Chase Securities, Inc. where he was a High Yield Senior Analyst. Mr. Hopkins is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Michael D. Jones, CFA, MBA Managing Partner, Senior Portfolio Analyst
Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor's degree in Business from Miami University and an MBA from the University of Michigan . He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Jones was a Portfolio Manager at Pilgrim Baxter and Associates from 1995 to 1998 where he managed over $1 billion in institutional growth equity accounts. From 1990 to 1995, Mr. Jones was an Equity Portfolio Manager in the institutional equity division of The Bank of New York. From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Jones was employed as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager at the Fifth Third Bank of Toledo, Ohio. Mr. Jones is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Jameson L. Keevican Mid-Atlantic Regional Director
Mr. Keevican earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Keevican was an Inside Sales Representative at TriState Capital Bank from 2013 to August of 2016. From 2007 to 2013, he was employed at Federated Investors, Inc. as a Senior Internal Sales Representative.
Joseph D. Knecht, MBA Vice President, Client Services
Mr. Knecht earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Bloomsburg University and an MBA from Villanova University. Prior to joining Chartwell, he worked at Turner Investments as a member of their Institutional Sales team from 2011 to 2013. Mr. Knecht began his career at Vanguard in 2003 and worked there until 2011. He spent the majority of his time building strategic partnerships with financial advisors and RIA's.
Douglas W. Kugler, CFA
Senior Portfolio Manager
Mr. Kugler earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. From 1993 to 2003, he held several positions at Morgan Stanley Investment Management (Miller Anderson & Sherrerd) including Vice President, Head of Mutual Fund Administration, Treasurer of the MAS Funds, Junior Associate in the Equity Department, and his last position held prior to joining Chartwell was Senior Associate and Analyst for the Large Cap Value team. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he was an Assistant Vice President and Senior Accounting Officer at Provident Financial Processing Corporation. Mr. Kugler is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Michael J. McCloskey Managing Partner, Director of Client Services
Mr. McCloskey earned a Bachelor of Science in Labor Studies from the Pennsylvania State University . He was a Vice President at Delaware Investment Advisers from 1993 to 1997, heading a Delaware marketing group. From 1991 to 1993, Mr. McCloskey was the Director of Institutional Marketing for RTE Asset Management. From 1988 to 1991, he was employed at Travelers' Asset Management.
LuAnn M. Molino
Chief Compliance Officer
Ms. Molino earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from the Montgomery County Community College. From 1997 to present, Ms. Molino works in both Compliance and Client Services and Marketing. She is responsible for overseeing the firm’s compliance programs, completing the firm’s regulatory filings, and fulfilling the firm’s compliance due diligence required by sub-advisory relationships. Prior to joining Chartwell she was an Administrative Assistant in Compliance and Client Services at Delaware Investment Advisors from 1990 to 1997. Prior to Delaware Investments, she spent two years as an Administrative Assistant at Continental Illinois Corporation.
Robert M. Mory, CIMA
Southeast Regional Director
Mr. Mory earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science from Nasson College. He holds the CIMA designation. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Mory was a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley from 2009 to 2011. From 2008 to 2009, he was a Wholesaler at Turner Investment Partners. From 1986 to 2008, he was employed by Smith Barney as a Consulting Group Regional Director.
Michael J. Nalevanko, MBA
Partner, Head Trader
Mr. Nalevanko earned an MBA from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Religion from Princeton University . Prior to joining Chartwell, he was a Trader for Pilgrim Baxter from 1997 to 1999. He was a Trader from 1978 to 1995 for Arbitrage Securities and C. F. Partners in New York. From 1972 to 1978, Mr. Nalevanko was a Securities Analyst and Equity Options Specialist at Pershing & Co. in New York.
Betsy M. Orr Vice President, Director of Consultant Relations
Ms. Orr earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Tennessee and studied at the graduate level in the MBA Program at Millsaps College, Else School of Management. From 2010 to 2011, Ms. Orr was the Director of Consultant Relations at Calamos Advisors. From 2006 to 2009, she was employed by Principal Global Investors as Director, Consultant Relations. Prior to Principal Global Investors, she spent 12 years as an Associate Partner and Marketing Director of Consultant Relations at INVESCO.
Tai S. Park Midwest Regional Director
Mr. Park earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Purdue University. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Park was a Vice President-External Wholesaler at Nuveen Investments from 1998 to 2014.
Maria E. Pollack Partner, Director of Client Administration
Ms. Pollack attended Chestnut Hill College and Temple University. Prior to joining Chartwell, she was Assistant Vice President of Client Services at Delaware Investment Advisers. From 1991 to 1997, Ms. Pollack was Administrative Manager for the $1 billion Delaware Pooled Trust.
Gretchen Regan, CFA Quantitative Analyst
Ms. Regan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science and Information Systems from the Pennsylvania State University. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Prior to joining Chartwell, Ms. Regan was a Vice President of Quantitative Analytics at Delaware Investments. From 1998 to 2000, Ms. Regan was employed as a Project Coordinator at Delaware Investments. Ms. Regan is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Timothy J. Riddle, CFA, MBA Managing Partner, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Riddle earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration as well as an MBA from Creighton University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He was employed as a Senior Vice President at Delaware Investment Advisers from 1986 to 1997, where he directed the institutional client service effort. From 1978 to 1986, he was employed with Father Flanagan's Boys' Home, where he served as Director of Investments. Mr. Riddle is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.

Mr. Schofield earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Pennsylvania. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. From 2005 to 2010, he was a Co-Chief Investment Officer at Knott Capital. From 1996 to 2005, he was a Portfolio Manager at Sovereign Asset Management. Prior to Sovereign Asset Management, he was a portfolio manager at Geewax, Terker & Company. Mr. Schofield is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Kevin P. Shea, CFA
Portfolio Analyst
Mr. Shea earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Shea was employed at Empire Capital where he served as a Senior Analyst, covering the technology sector. From 2007 to 2010 he was a Senior Analyst at MKM Partners. Prior to MKM Partners he spent two years at BlackRock as a Junior Analyst. Mr. Shea is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Albert J. Stewart
Mid-South Regional Director
Mr. Stewart earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kenyon College. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Stewart was a Regional Director at Columbia Management from 2013 to 2014. From 2009 to 2012, he was employed by Sip Nordic America as a Regional Director. From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Stewart was employed as a Director of Business Development for the Private Banking and Investment Group of Merrill Lynch.
Jason B. Stewart, CIMA
West Regional Director
Mr. Stewart earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Stanford University. He holds the CIMA designation. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Stewart was a Financial Advisor at Graystone Consulting from 2010 to 2012. Prior to Graystone Consulting, he was employed by Smith Barney as a Consulting Group Divisional Analyst from 1997 to 2000 and as a Consulting Group Senior Regional Director from 2000 to 2009.
Ben Sun, Ph.D. Portfolio Analyst
Mr. Sun earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Sun also received a Masters Degree in Physics from the University of Pittsburgh and from The Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prior to joining Chartwell, he was a Senior Associate at Canaccord Adams (Adams Harkness) from 2004 to 2008 where he covered healthcare and industrial technology. From 2000 to 2003 he was a research fellow at Harvard Medical School.
Frank L. Sustersic, CFA Senior Portfolio Manager
Mr. Sustersic earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The University of Pennsylvania and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. From 2014 to February 2016, Mr. Sustersic worked as a Portfolio Manager at Lazard Asset Management. Prior to that, he worked as a Portfolio Manager at Turner Investments from 1994 to March 2014. In addition, Mr. Sustersic worked as a Portfolio Manager at First Fidelity Bank Corporation from 1989 to April 1994. Mr. Sustersic is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Andrew S. Toburen, CFA, MBA Senior Portfolio Manager
Mr. Toburen earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Yale University and an MBA from Cornell University 's Johnson School of Management. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. From 1994 to 1997 he was part of a team managing over $3 billion in high yield corporate bond assets for Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management, Inc. Mr. Toburen is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
Brian J. Ward, CFA, MBA Managing Partner, Director of Retail Distribution
Mr. Ward earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, as well as an MBA from the University of Delaware . He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia. He also holds the CIMA designation. Previously, Mr. Ward was Executive Director and Director of Institutional Consulting at UBS Financial Services from 2006 to June of 2007. From 1995 to 2006, he was employed by Smith Barney Consulting Group as a Senior Vice President and Divisional Sales Director where he was responsible for sales and training support for over 3,000 financial advisors.
Christine F. Williams, MBA
Managing Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager
Ms. Williams earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Delaware and an MBA in Finance from St. Joseph's University. Prior to joining Chartwell, Ms. Williams was an Assistant Vice President, Fixed Income at Meridian Investment Company from 1990 to 1997. She was part of the Fixed Income team managing close to $2 billion in assets. In addition to her tax exempt responsibilities, she managed the Pennsylvania Municipal Mutual Fund and the General Market Personal Trust Municipal Fund. She began her career with Merrill Lynch. Ms. Williams is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
